Back to reality...
Coming back to the cold Northwest after backpacking in the toasty Death Valley for 6 days is such a struggle. I spent my past week with some of the more lovely people lugging around 60 pounds of water, gear, and food through the desert, spending 38 hours completely solo. Sounds fun right? It was marvelous. The only problem is that it all feels surreal; like it happened years ago.
